Now that it's officially Fall, I've been wanting to add hints of Fall fashion into my daily looks. Cozy sweaters, scarves, my favorite boots...I love it all. Who doesn't? But nothing looks more ridiculous than being bundled up when it's still a good 85 degrees outside. (lol) So, I decided on a happy-medium with this Summer-Fall mix.

The color palette I chose is white and camel with a side of blush. It blends light and fresh with rich and cozy. To me, it's the best of both worlds where the two seasons collide.

A Classic, Camel Vest
The focal piece that ties this look all together and whispers, "Fall" is this classic, camel vest. I can't get enough of it! It's simple and chic, yet super practical.

The camel color is creamy and beautiful with warm undertones. It's such a versatile color and looks beautiful with everything! The fabric is really soft and plush and the interior is fully-lined. It feels like a well-loved wool coat but without the extra heat or annoying itch factor!

But, my favorite detail? Functional welt pockets! They give it an extra touch of class that I love.

Would you even guess this vest is only $19? It looks and feels SO much more luxe for something you'd expect to see at this price point. I've seen and tried comparable designer vests that are retailing for ten times this price and none have fit so well right off the rack. They're either too long, too bulky, itchy, or too flimsy and wrinkle-prone. Needless to say, I was thrilled to find this one that's sleek, affordable and petite-friendly!

It's the perfect transitional piece for this time of year, too; layer it over a sleeveless dress or top when it's hot out, then layer it over long-sleeved tops, sweaters and pants once temps cool down. It's an open, longline style with no buttons, so it's easy, effortless, and can be layered in countless ways!

A (Little) White Dress
For something a little "sexy-chic" I styled the vest with a slinky, white, bodycon dress for date night. It's definitely more daring than I usually wear, especially after having my three babies, but it felt good to get out of my comfort zone and switch things up a bit. And every gal needs a cute LWD in their closet, right? ;-)

Finding a thicker, opaque white dress can be quite the challenge. I actually scored this one from a little boutique at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa ages ago, but was able to find some similar white bodycon dresses online that look promising here, here, and here if you want to re-create this look. I'm eyeing this long-sleeved, turtleneck midi dress for chillier days, too. Layering the vest over a bodycon dress makes it easier to wear with confidence since the vest lends it more modesty.

A Touch of Blush
For the Summery side of this mix, I kept the accessories light and pretty in matching shades of blush with a classic, Chanel flap bag and Public Desire suede pumps.

This bag! I actually debated on whether to share it on the blog for fear of coming across as "showy," "braggy," or materialistic. I never want to give the wrong impression. A Chanel bag is a splurge, no doubt, but I wholeheartedly believe in hard work and in being prudent with any investment purchases and with money in general. That said, if you're saving and spending responsibly within your means, and know your purchase will hold lasting value (or offer a return on investment), then take the leap and enjoy it. Those are my humble two cents for what they're worth.

Since several of you have asked about this one after seeing it in my Instagram stories, my bag is a limited-edition, medium double-flap bag in ballerine-pink lambskin with brushed, gold matte hardware. This color, leather and hardware combo is very hard to find, as only a limited number were manufactured, so I was ecstatic to locate one in France after waiting and saving patiently! She's a beauty that will be treasured for a very long time!

Some Shimmer
To finish this look, I added a gold, filigree, lariat necklace. I love the way it drapes down the center of the dress, adding just the right amount of shimmer and breaking up the solid color of the dress.
I hope you enjoyed this Summer-Fall mix! After seeing the smile on my husband's face when I first stepped out in it, I'm thinking I'll need to repeat it -- or at least a variation of it -- in the near future. ;-)

I can't wait to re-style this vest with longer layers once cooler temps are here to stay, too!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
