Tweed Bow Dress for $24

What girl doesn't love a darling dress?
As a dress-lover through and through, and as someone who gravitates towards all things feminine and pretty, it's really no surprise that I fell in love with this tweed bow dress as soon as I saw it. It's just too cute for words!

I'm all about the little details, and the ones on this dress are what make it so special: the nubby tweed, the ribbon bow-tie collar, and the ever-so-chic color combo of black and white. It's such a classic style and very reminiscent of Chanel! For me, that often translates into "add to shopping cart now."  ;-)

But what sold me on it even more was the amazing price because it's only $24!
I absolutely adore it!
Not only does it have a Chanel-esque quality to it that I mentioned, but it also reminds me of a dress you'd see in the 60s when mod fashion trends were all the rage -- the heavy, dramatic eyeliner; vinyl boots; and mini shift dresses in the same A-line silhouette and B&W color palette.

Speaking of mini, I have to say, this dress is much shorter than I usually wear. I tend to keep most of my dress lengths at my knees or just above/below because that's just what's in my comfort zone. But, for parties, date nights, or other special events that require a cocktail dress or similar semi-dressy attire, I think this dress works perfectly! It's elegant yet fun and flirty.

If you're wanting more modesty, there's always the option of adding tights, which I personally reach for with these shorter-dress styles more often than not, especially as temperatures begin to drop. A pair of black suede over-the-knee boots would look stunning, too!

As for quality and fit, I'm happy that the tweed fabric is a nice, medium weight and passes my no-itch/no-scratch test. There's a concealed zipper in the back for easy on/off, too. I'm wearing size XS, which runs a bit wide in the waist and hips on me, but overall, the dress is still really cute and flattering on. I'll eventually have my tailor take in these areas for a better fit, but it's not really a pressing issue for me. You can refer to the size guide on the product page to determine your ideal size. If you're between sizes, you'll want to size up since the fabric has no stretch.
For a sleek, monochromatic look, I added a longline, open-front jacket in the same winter-white color. I like the way it adds more coverage but also keeps the focus on the pretty bow of the dress, which is my favorite detail, of course.

Also, I didn't realize it until now, but this dress has a matching tweed bow jacket! It's definitely more on the "frilly" side with the faux-fur trim sleeves and hem, but would be such a great statement piece for parties/special events, especially this time of year as the holidays approach. The matching tweed set makes for a really fun and festive ensemble! (And the set is less than $70!)

I kept my accessories soft and light for this look, pairing it with nude patent pumps to elongate my legs, and my favorite Chanel flap bag in a delicate, ballerine-pink. I love adding a hint of pink to an otherwise all-black-and-white color palette; it's such a simple and sweet contrast!
